  1.Schillerstraße / Börsenplatz: Australien

Der Börsenplatz verwandelt sich in den Australischen Outback. Hier erleben die The famous square in front of the Stock Exchange turns into the Australian Outback, where a show of alligators and other reptiles will remind visitors of Aussie movie icon "Crocodile Dundee." Food specialties from Down Under will be offered at a giant "barbie," and genuine Australian wine can be tasted at a wine stand. Information booths will provide interested visitors with tips and brochures about the "fifth continent" as a travel destination. And those planning a trip to "Oz" may as well buy the proper outfit right here. The kiddies can have their faces painted or jump around like little 'roos in a giant bouncy castle.

  2. Zeil: Brasilien

  3. Töngesgasse: Argentinien

Töngesgasse, decorated in the blue and white colors of the Argentinean flag, will welcome the guest nation of Argentina with typical food, music and tango. Between 1300 and 1800 hrs. (1 and 6 p.m.), the "Academía de Tango," together with the "Dance Connection" department of the FTV 1860 (a local athletic club), will present a "Milonga Open Air" with a large dance floor. Fabiana Jarma, a passionate tango instructor and director of the "Academía de Tango," will show her dancing talent and carry away the audience, along with her partner, Julio Gordillo. After 1900 hrs. (7 p.m.), South American sounds and tango rhythms will be performed by Argentinean musician Jorge Galbassini. Food specialties and typical Argentinean wines will whet the appetite of the visitors and invite them to stay.

  4. Westendstraße: England

  5. Kirchnerstraße: Schweden

With shop windows draped in blue and gold in Kirchnerstraße, the Kingdom of Sweden will present its vibrant Viking culture, world-famous characters from the novels of Astrid Lindgren, and its travel destinations, as well as an extensive program for children. Swedish soccer legends will be present to give autographs. Swedish companies such as SEB and Volvo will contribute presentations, as will bed manufacturer Hästens, supplier to the Royal Court of Sweden.

  6. Liebfrauenberg / Neue Kräme: Tschechien

The "spa triangle" of Western Bohemia - Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary), Marienbad (Mariánské Lázne), and Franzensbad (Františkovy Lázne) - will present its world-famous spas and mineral water springs. Czech musicians and others will play live on stage. A group of children will perform Slavic folk dances. The food offered includes typical items from Bohemia and Moravia, as wel as beer and wine. Interested visitors may drop by the joint tourism stand of Prague, the Czech Republic and CSA Czech Airlines to find out more about the country as a travel destination. Furthermore, information booths are planned by the Czech consulate and by Palacký University from Olmütz (Olomouc). Škoda, the Czech automobile manufacturer, presents a selection of its car models.

  7. Goethestraße: Korea

The Republic of Korea presents itself in Goethestraße as an attractive travel destination. The preliminary program includes Korean fan-dance and taekwon-do presentations at Horst Lippmann Square, providing fascinating insights into the culture of the "Far East." Another highlight on the schedule is a fashion show with 30 models presenting traditional Korean clothes made from high-quality materials. Interested visitors may drop by at the information booth of the Korea Tourism Organization to learn more about this increasingly popular travel destination. The program is completed by typical Korean food, such as kimchi, bulgogi, and kimbap, as well as Korean beverages.

  8. Carl-Theodor-Reiffenstein-Platz: Westafrika

(Togo, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire) Music and performance artists from Togo, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire will entertain audiences at Carl Theodor Reiffenstein Square as well as on the central event venue in front of St. Catherine's Church.

  9. Fressgass´: Frankreich Schweiz

A French Market in the "Freßgass'" ("gobble alley") invites visitors to stroll, rest, and taste. Numerous food stands will offer culinary delights as well as down-home classics, including French bread, ham, olives, tapenades, unpasteurized cheese, pastries, Dijon mustard, crêpes, and patisserie specialties. In addition, there will be wine and champagne booths. Mediterranean scents will be provided by soap and other items from the Provence region of Southern France. The French Market will be open from the 1st though the 3rd of June, and from the 6th through the 8th of July, 2006.

  10. Biebergasse/ Hauptwache: Spanien/Mexiko

Mexico presents itself at the Hauptwache Square with typical food, drinks, and music. Mexican tenor Omar Garrido is scheduled to appear. Furthermore, there will be comprehensive information on Mexico as a travel destination.



11. Hauptwache / Katharinenkirche:

The central event venu

The central event venue will feature a cross-section of the individual country presentations (England, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, USA, West Africa, Frankfurt's sister cities, Germany/Frankfurt, and others) with a variety program on stage, food, drinks, information booths, and much more. Live music will be provided by the cover band X?IT, which recently won first prize at the "hessen rockt" competition organized by a local newspaper, Frankfurter Rundschau. A deejay from Birmingham, Frankfurt's British sister city, will get younger audiences into the mood and get the party going. African dancers in colorful traditional garb will give a creative performance accompanied by traditional rhythms. Twenty to thirty Korean drummers will stir up audiences with their show. Food specialties from England are available at the "Fish & Chips Tower," while a Spanish stand offers classics such as paella, regional delicacies as well as Spanish beer and wine, while West Africa has four stands with culinary delights from the Dark Continent. Finally, guests can get a taste of local fare from the State of Hesse.
